United for Infrastructure, now in its 10th year, is a not-for-profit organization based in Washington, D.C. The organization was founded and is led by its Steering Committee – a bipartisan team that includes leading business groups, labor unions, and think tanks working to improve America’s infrastructure. Our Steering Committee consists of the AFL-CIO, the American Society of Civil Engineers, Building America’s Future, Business Roundtable, the Brookings Metropolitan Policy Program, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, the National Association of Manufacturers, and the Value of Water Campaign.
Throughout the year, United for Infrastructure works to highlight the critical role infrastructure plays in all sectors of the economy and to show policymakers at all levels of government the breadth and diversity of support for long-term, sustainable infrastructure investment. We do this through keynote events, like our Presidential Candidate Infrastructure Forum, as well as through our webinars, podcast, workshops, and smaller convenings.
Our signature annual event is United for Infrastructure: A Week to Champion America’s Infrastructure. This week of advocacy brings together organizations and individuals from across America – from local businesses, trade associations and chambers of commerce to mayors and individual citizens – to host events, tour new and innovative projects, and talk about infrastructure with the press and on social media. We encourage you to participate in the Week and tell your infrastructure story. Plan an event. Drive media attention. Reach out to your elected leaders.
The pandemic has shifted the way that all of us do business. In 2022, we’ll be hosting both in person and virtual events. We encourage you to participate in whatever way works for your organization. For those of you who are interested in virtual programming, we suggest:
- Host a webinar that highlights your work or priorities
- Attend a virtual event – check our calendar soon for events you can join
- Social Media – follow us at @United4Infra, join the conversation at #LeadWithInfrastructure, and join us May 16-20 – and use our shareables (coming soon)!
- Virtual Video Tour – use your phone or camera to film a tour of your infrastructure project or facility and share it with us!
- Celebrate your infrastructure heroes – honor those who’ve kept us running throughout the pandemic
There is no cost to join as an Affiliate, and our staff will support your organization, facilitate partnerships, and help coordinate events and media to highlight the infrastructure issues critical to your stakeholders.

We’re excited to talk to you about United for Infrastructure and you can reach us at partnerships@unitedforinfrastructure.org.
United for Infrastructure is non-partisan, is not affiliated with any political candidate, and does not take a position on any legislation or elections. We are excited to work with any group interested in talking about the importance of America’s roads, bridges, rail, ports, airports, water and sewer systems, the energy grid, and more.
United for Infrastructure: A Week to Champion America’s Infrastructure doesn’t take place in any one location, but instead happens for one week in locations across America and online as organizations of all types host events and share their stories about the importance of infrastructure to our economy, jobs, national security, and more.
There are lots of ways to get involved! Join us on social media, speak out in the press, make a video, make a podcast— engage in any way your organization feels comfortable. We’re also happy to work with you to help find the best way to make your voice heard. Feel free to contact us at partnerships@unitedforinfrastructure.org.
We’ll launch our national event calendar this spring and regularly update it. You can sort by date and location. Many of our events will be webcast, so even if you can’t be there in person check the description to see if you can watch online. Also, if nothing is currently happening in your community we encourage you to work with us to launch an event, walking tour, or whatever else you’re interested in pursuing. Contact us at partnerships@unitedforinfrastructure.org.
We’re happy to work you to get access to our events, speakers, steering committee members, affiliates and more. Please email our Communications Director Abby Gardner to learn more.
