2018 #TimeToBuild

Infrastructure Week 2018 was bigger in every way—more events, more affiliates, more social media participation, and more impact.  With over 400 participating organizations and dueling kickoffs in DC and Los Angeles, Infrastructure Week’s unifying message of It’s #TimeToBuild was amplified across Twitter and at over 150 events in 29 states.  Across the country, the diverse coalition that makes Infrastructure Week:

  • Hosted 150 events in 29 states and the District of Columbia
  • Made more than 275 million impressions on social media reaching more than 100 million unique accounts
  • Earned more than 500 media hits and placements, including a feature on NPR’s All Things Considered and an op-ed by Boston Mayor Martin Walsh and AFL-CIO President Richard Trumka in the Wall Street Journal
  • Drove participation by federal leaders, including Transportation Secretary Elaine Chao, FEMA Administrator Brock Long, and other senior policymakers from the White House, U.S. Department of Transportation, and more
  • Covered infrastructure policy from nearly every angle, including sustainability, finance, jobs, economic growth, equity, and more
  • Worked with dozens of state and local elected officials in Washington, D.C., Los Angeles, Atlanta, San Francisco, New Orleans, and beyond to host events, highlight projects, and launch new policies
  • Facilitated hundreds of Congressional offices visits in partnership with Infrastructure Week affiliates
